Role overview

We are partnering with our client, a growing player in the soft commodities space, to appoint a trader in Spain with a focus on physical cocoa trading. This is a permanent opportunity to be part of building and setting up operations in Spain, working at the heart of the European agricultural and commodities market. You will join our client's team as a key commercial driver, leveraging your market insight and trading acumen to grow their presence across Europe.

Our client is seeking an experienced physical soft commodities trader, specifically in cocoa, who can originate, execute, and manage trades while helping to establish and expand their footprint in Spain and the wider European region.

Key skills

Commodities trading - Experience in buying, selling, and managing risk in commodity markets, ensuring profitable and compliant trade execution.

Agricultural market insight - Understanding of agricultural supply chains and pricing dynamics, particularly within softs, to identify and capitalise on trading opportunities.

Spain market focus - Ability to navigate the European market, build local relationships, and support the setup and growth of our client's operations in Spain. Coming with a portable book of business.
