*Job Overview*
Sahara Sandblasting & Painting is looking for an experienced Industrial Painter to join our team. We are a family owned and operated company that's been in business for 48 years. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective coatings to a variety of industrial components and equipment. We are looking for someone with experience with alkyd enamels, epoxies, urethanes, tank liners and CUI products utilizing conventional and airless equipment. A successful candidate would be someone ready to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced environment.
*Duties*
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Work with load-in team to ensure optimal setup of material for safe and effective coating application.
- Apply primers, paints, and coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers with precision and consistency following manufacturer guidelines.
- Inspect finished work for quality, uniformity, and adherence to specifications; perform touch-ups as needed.
- Receive feedback from QA/QC inspectors and correct deficiencies where needed.
- Maintain a clean workspace by following safety protocols and proper disposal of waste materials.
- Clean and maintain coating equipment (guns, lines, pumps) as needed.
- Mix coatings according to specifications.
*Skills*
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications for accurate application of coatings.
- Minimum 5 years industrial painting experience
- Familiarity with basic math for measurements and calculations related to surface preparation and coating application.
- Good understanding of safety procedures related to working with chemicals and paints.
Hands-on demonstration of coating skills will be required.
Pay: From $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 ? 50.0 per week
