operations manager, maintenance

Full-Time | Year-Round Position

We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on District Manager to oversee our landscaping and snow removal operations year-round. This position is responsible for leading field crews, ensuring safe and efficient operations, maintaining equipment and vehicles, and delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations for landscaping, grounds maintenance, and snow removal crews.
• Ensure crews are properly staffed, equipped, scheduled, and prepared for each job.
• Maintain a strong focus on employee, public, and equipment safety.
• Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and training, and ensure company safety procedures are followed.
• Monitor job sites and crew performance to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.
• Coordinate daily and seasonal schedules, including responding to weather-related changes and urgent service requirements.
• Oversee snow removal operations, including storm preparation, dispatching crews, route management, and post-storm inspections.
• Oversee summer landscaping operations, including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, cleanups, and property maintenance.
• Ensure trucks, trailers, loaders, snow equipment, mowers, and other equipment are properly maintained and ready for use.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and equipment servicing.
• Ensure company vehicles and equipment are operated and maintained properly.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in landscaping, snow removal, property maintenance, construction, or a related field.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of workplace and equipment safety.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with commercial landscaping and snow-removal equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
