MIDNIGHTSHIFT LOGISTICS OPERATIONS

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee end-to-end logistics operations including warehousing, transportation, and distribution across multiple shifts
• Ensure operational continuity during day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Monitor operational performance to meet OTIF, SLA, productivity, and cost targets
• Investigate operational issues using root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Apply engineering and process improvement principles to optimize workflows, layout, and resource utilization
• Support equipment and material handling systems (e.g. conveyors, MHE) in coordination with engineering or maintenance teams
• Coordinate manpower planning, shift scheduling, and on-site operations staff
• Supervise operations personnel to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety, and quality standards
• Work closely with 3PL partners, transporters, and vendors to maintain service performance
• Utilize WMS / TMS / ERP systems to manage operations and ensure data accuracy
• Prepare operational reports and analyze data using Excel or BI tools
• Collaborate with internal teams (Engineering, Customer Service, Sales, Finance) to support business requirements
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) and regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and cost optimization projects

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 2–5 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, or operations roles
• Basic engineering background with understanding of process flow, equipment, or systems
• Experience in process improvement, troubleshooting, or operations optimization
• Ability to work in a rotating shift environment, including night shifts and weekends
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Familiarity with WMS / TMS / SAP / ERP systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; Power BI or basic data analysis skills are an advantage
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Willingness to work shift hours, weekends, and public holidays as required
