Resident Support Manager
Salary: £22.00 PAYE or £29.48 Umbrella Hours: 7.5 per day, M-F Location: North London Job Type: Hybrid (split between home and office working)
We are seeking a dedicated Resident Support Manager to join our client providing crucial support and advocacy to vulnerable residents within the social housing sector. This role is based in North London, with responsibilities extending to various locations including Slough, Essex, Reading, Maidenhead, Hounslow, Hertsmere, Ealing, Buckinghamshire, Brent, and Bracknell Forest.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide one-to-one casework support to residents, focusing on those facing financial hardships, health issues, or other vulnerabilities that impact their ability to maintain tenancy.
- Manage referrals raised internally, triaged by the Assessment and Support Team, and allocated to you by the Resident Support Manager Lead.
- Address complex cases involving mental health challenges, hoarding, domestic abuse, and crime, through effective referral and signposting to appropriate services.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across housing, customer accounts, compliance, and lettings teams, as well as external partners and stakeholders, to deliver comprehensive support.
- Travel across designated areas to provide face-to-face support and advocacy as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a tenancy support role with a strong track record in one-to-one casework.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to effectively coordinate with both internal teams and external entities.
- Knowledge and experience in supporting residents through challenges such as food/fuel poverty, budgeting, and money advice.
- Ability to assist residents with applications for additional funding, such as CRF.
- A compassionate approach with a deep understanding of the issues affecting vulnerable populations.
