Goods In Operative

Hourly Rate: £13.46 Location: Basildon Job Type: Temporary, Full-time (Monday to Friday)

We are seeking a dedicated Goods In Operative to join our team in Basildon. This role involves managing the receipt and handling of goods, ensuring efficient stock management and supporting the overall operations of our clients warehouse.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Unloading and receiving goods efficiently, ensuring all items are checked and accounted for against delivery notes.
• Operating the shutter door to manage deliveries, maintaining security and efficiency.
• Conducting manual handling tasks safely and effectively.
• Operating forklift trucks (FLT) to move stock as required.
• Batching of stock to organize and prepare for storage or distribution.
• Ensuring accurate stock put away into designated areas to maintain order and accessibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Goods In Operative or similar role in a warehouse setting.
• Competency in operating forklift trucks; a valid FLT driver’s license is required.
• Strong attention to detail for checking stock against delivery notes.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving stock.
• Good organisational skills for effective batching and stock put away.
• Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude.
