Wembley | Hybrid Working 3-Month Temporary Contract Full-Time £21.41 per hour PAYE (£28.19 per hour Umbrella) We are currently recruiting for an experienced Emergency Housing Officer to join a busy Local Authority Housing Service on a temporary basis. This role plays a vital part in delivering emergency accommodation services for vulnerable households and ensuring suitable placements are arranged, maintained and monitored in line with homelessness legislation and council procedures. The Role You will be responsible for managing emergency housing placements, maintaining accommodation records, setting up and closing rent accounts, and working closely with accommodation providers, landlords and internal housing teams to deliver an effective service. The successful candidate will ensure households in housing need receive timely support while maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation. Key Responsibilities Arrange bookings and allocations into emergency accommodation Create and manage placements, rent accounts and tenancy records Open and close accommodation bookings using NEC Housing Create property records and maintain accommodation data Liaise with landlords, providers and managing agents Manage accommodation moves and tenancy terminations Support rent collection, arrears monitoring and housing benefit processes Investigate accommodation issues and tenancy breaches Process housing documentation, reports and correspondence Provide advice and support to vulnerable residents Maintain accurate records across all housing systems Essential Requirements Extensive experience using: NEC Housing CRM Locata

Experience creating placements, properties and rent accounts within NEC Strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and temporary accommodation processes Experience working with: Section 188 Licence Agreements Section 193 Licence Agreements Non-Secure Tenancies Related housing and tenancy documentation

Experience supporting households experiencing homelessness or housing crisis Strong customer service and communication skills Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure Experience working with vulnerable residents What's on Offer?
