Senior Accounts Manager - Accountancy Practice

About the Role

Our Client is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Manage r to manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients. This is a senior practice role with responsibility for client relationships, technical review, team management, workflow coordination, corporation tax compliance and billing. The successful candidate will report directly to the Partners and play a key role in the continued growth of the practice. Richard Anthony is a partner-led firm providing audit, tax, transaction and advisory services to entrepreneurial and owner-managed businesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as the main point of contact.
• Review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Coordinate workflow and ensure timely delivery of assignments.
• Resolve technical accounting and tax matters.
• Monitor WIP, recoverability and oversee billing.
• Support Partners in maintaining excellent client service standards.

Candidate Profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Strong UK practice background.
• Proven management experience, including staff supervision and workflow management.
• Experience reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
• Commercially minded with strong client-facing skills.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Audit experience is not required.
• This is an accounts and tax focused role.
• Suitable for an experienced Manager seeking a senior role or an existing Senior Manager looking for greater responsibility and direct Partner exposure.
