310T Truck & Coach Technician
Overview
Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the 310T Truck & Coach Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining heavy trucks, trailers, cranes, and other heavy equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on heavy trucks, trailers, cranes, and other heavy equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and safety checks in accordance with manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
Identify and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain issues.
Complete work orders, inspection reports, and maintenance records accurately and in a timely manner.
Provide regular updates to the Foreman regarding repair status, parts requirements, and completion timelines.
Conduct operational testing and road tests, where applicable, to verify equipment performance and safety prior to returning assets to service.
Safely operate diagnostic tools, shop equipment, and manufacturer software to identify and resolve issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and health and safety regulations.
Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently to meet operational and service deadlines.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with applicable safety standards, legislation, and company procedures.
Qualifications
Valid Ontario 310T Truck & Coach Technician License (required).
Minimum two (2) years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy trucks and trailers.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, and vehicle diagnostics.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy components and working in various environmental conditions.
Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established procedures.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Assets
Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician License.
Experience maintaining and repairing mobile cranes or other specialized heavy equipment.
Valid G Driver's Licence; DZ or AZ Licence considered a strong asset.
Experience with computerized diagnostic tools and electronic maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Wage: $39.91/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Night Shift
Wage: $45.41/hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 1:30 AM
