We are looking for an Associate to join our COO function focused on supporting the setup, expansion, and ongoing maintenance of Power and Gas markets across APAC and Europe . This position plays a key role at the intersection of trading, operations, and strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing market access, handling contracts and documentation, supporting regulatory processes, and coordinating across internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves analysing market opportunities and barriers, helping to ensure the firm is optimally positioned within the global commodities trading landscape.

This is a high-impact position offering broad exposure to commodities trading, with close interaction across trading, risk, compliance, legal, technology, and operations teams globally.

Role Responsibilities

Establish and onboard access to new Power and Gas markets across APAC and Europe

Maintain and optimise existing market access, ensuring compliance with exchange and regulatory requirements

Analyse and assess new market opportunities, including barriers to entry and operational considerations

Support the daily operational oversight of the APAC commodities business

Contribute to improving processes related to market setup and ongoing maintenance

Assist in coordinating key project build-outs and strategic initiatives across multiple teams

Track deliverables, timelines, and dependencies to ensure successful execution

Communicate with counterparties, exchanges, and brokers regarding market access, documentation, and operational matters

Act as a liaison between trading teams and internal stakeholders to ensure effective information flow

Support the development and enhancement of tools and systems required for Power and Gas market participation

Prepare, review, and submit contracts, onboarding documentation, and regulatory filings

Assist in interpreting and communicating regulatory requirements across jurisdictions

Provide ad hoc support to the COO team on strategic and operational initiatives

Support the Danish and APAC Commodities teams with day-to-day activities

Assist with internal meetings, materials preparation, and follow-ups

Requirements

Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role within financial services, trading, or operations

Prior experience in commodities markets, with a strong preference for Power and/or Gas, is essential

Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent), though not mandatory

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
