WE ARE HIRING: ROV Technician - Electrical Location: Batam, Riau Islands, Indonesia
About the Role PT Satrya Maritim Indonesia currently recruiting an experienced ROV Technician - Electrical on behalf of our esteemed client, Bumi Subsea, a leader in providing fast, efficient, and reliable underwater services. You will be deployed to support Bumi Subsea's operations, ensuring the safety, reliability, and peak performance of all ROV electrical systems in compliance with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 14001, and international marine standards. Key Responsibilities
- System Operations: Oversee pre/post-dive checks, fault reporting, system logs, and testing. Maintain clear communication between the vessel, workshop, and operations office.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Plan and execute preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance for ROV electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, sensors, and subsea electronics.
- Mobilization & Demobilization: Supervise electrical preparation, testing, and inspection to guarantee all equipment is fully operational before offshore deployment.
- HSE & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with company safety procedures, risk assessments, and international standards (SOLAS, MARPOL, ISO management systems).
- Stop Work Authority: Exercise full authority to stop, suspend, or refuse any work activity deemed unsafe or non-compliant with company and regulatory requirements.
Key Competencies & Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on working experience as an ROV Technician (Electrical) in the offshore oil & gas or subsea industry.
- Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Technical Expertise: Strong background in ROV electrical systems, subsea electronics, power distribution, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Industry Standards: Familiarity with IMCA guidelines (R004, R006, D054, R010, R005) and QHSE regulations.
- Operational Readiness: Proven experience in managing offshore ROV maintenance techniques and pre/post-dive checks.
- Strong stress management skills to perform effectively under tight deadlines and pressure.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and reporting capabilities (in English).
- Continuous improvement mindset with knowledge of data analysis and risk management tools.
