CAD DRAFTER

Requirements:

1. Minimum Vocational High School (SMK) diploma in Building Drafting or Mechanical Engineering, or a Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Work experience (2–5 years) with a steel fabrication company, contractor, or structural consultancy.
3. Ability to provide samples of previously created structural steel shop drawings.
4. Technical CAD Software Skills:

a. Proficient in AutoCAD (2D & 3D). b. Proficiency in steel-specific software such as Tekla Structures, Advance Steel, or Revit Structure is preferred. c. Understanding of Steel Detailing: Competent in visualizing steel connections (bolted and welded connections, gusset plates, base plates, and stiffeners). d. Technical Drawing Interpretation: Capable of translating sketches or calculations from Structural Engineers into shop drawings. e. Knowledge of International/National Standards: Familiar with material standards and steel notations (e.g., AISC, AWS, or SNI standards).

Job Descriptions:

1. Produce fabrication drawings (shop drawings) and erection drawings for steel structures.
2. Compile steel material requirements lists (Bill of Quantities / Material Take-off).
3. Create floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and site plans.
4. Ensure drawing dimensional accuracy to minimize errors during steel cutting in the workshop.
5. Revise drawings based on input from Engineers or site conditions.
6. Compile drawing lists/schedules.
7. Create standard drawing title blocks.
