The Role

The Legal Generalist helps keep Plexus’ Legal function organized, responsive, and running efficiently. This role serves as a key liaison between Legal and internal business partners, supporting contract management, routine agreements, insurance administration, litigation and discovery, legal research, and day-to-day legal operations.

Success requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to independently manage multiple priorities. This person will create structure, exercise good judgment, and help ensure legal requests and projects move forward accurately and efficiently.

Key Performance Objectives

Establish and maintain organized, accurate physical and electronic legal files.

Help achieve same-day response for most routine Legal inquiries.

Support successful implementation and adoption of new Legal Operations systems.

Strengthen contract management through accurate tracking of agreements, renewals, deadlines, and documentation.

Performance Accountabilities

Contracts & Legal Operations

Manage contract intake, tracking, filing, renewals, and documentation within the contract management system.

Draft and coordinate routine NDAs, employment agreements, vendor DPAs, and independent contractor and consultant agreements.

Review routine vendor contracts, subscription quotes, order forms, termination letters, and staffing agreements, escalating higher-risk matters appropriately.

Manage the Legal ticketing system and ensure requests are prioritized and resolved timely.

Maintain organized physical and electronic legal records and identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.

Insurance, Litigation & Risk

Track global company insurance policies and manage Certificates of Liability Insurance.

Support litigation and discovery by coordinating document and information requests across departments and external partners.

Conduct legal research and provide accurate, timely information as needed.

Support legal and insurance requirements for Ambassador incentive and recognition events.

Business Partnership & Execution

Serve as a liaison between Legal, department leaders, employees, Brand Ambassadors, vendors, and external legal partners.

Partner with Indirect Procurement and business leaders to move contracts and renewals through the review process.

Coordinate projects with outside legal contractors and ensure deliverables remain on track.

Independently manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Provide day-to-day support to the Chief Legal Officer and Legal team.

Provide occasional off-hours support based on business needs.

Performance Qualifications

Associate degree required; bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business, or related field preferred.

Minimum 3 years of experience supporting a corporate Legal department or similar environment.

Experience with contract administration, legal documentation, litigation support, insurance, or Legal Operations.

Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities and follow matters through completion.

Sound judgment, initiative, and ability to determine when matters require escalation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills and ability to quickly learn Legal Operations systems.

Knowledge of trademark registration and corporate board minutes and resolutions preferred.
