1. Job Functions
Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate daily movers operations, including job assignments, scheduling and manpower deployment.
- Plan and optimise manpower, vehicle deployment and job schedules to maximise efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure all jobs are completed on time and in line with service standards.
- Liaise with customers on job requirements, schedules and service delivery.
- Handle calls, site visits and operational logistics.
- Take ownership of daily operational matters and resolve issues proactively, without needing constant supervision orrepeated instructions.
- Follow up on customer enquiries, quotations and outstanding matters through to completion.
Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Actively identify and pursue opportunities to secure new business and grow revenue for PERTAPIS Movers, including corporate, institutional, community and individual customers.
- Follow up promptly on enquiries and quotations, with the aim of converting them into confirmed jobs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Promote movers services and support marketing initiatives to increase service visibility.
- Recommend new services, packages, marketing initiatives or operational improvements to strengthen the competitiveness of PERTAPIS Movers.
- Monitor business performance and update Management regularly on enquiries, confirmed jobs, revenue opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Work towards the operational and revenue targets set by the Manager and Higher Management.
Team Supervision & Development
- Oversee the attendance, punctuality and discipline of staff and residents assigned to movers duties.
- Provide guidance, supervision and support to assigned staff and residents.
- Brief staff and residents on their duties, customer requirements and expected standards before each assignment.
- Monitor work performance and promptly address concerns relating to conduct, performance, safety or service standards.
- Foster a positive work environment built on teamwork, responsibility and accountability, and encourage good work ethics and initiative.
- Uphold the professional image and service standards of PERTAPIS Movers.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, honesty, integrity and accountability at all times.
Documentation & Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate and complete records of customer orders, quotations, invoices, receipts and job completion reports and ensure they are properly filed.
- Review quotations, invoices, inventory records, customer information and operational reports with a high level of attention to detail.
- Prepare and update reports on operations, attendance and inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of consumables, including bin cards (inventory control records).
- Ensure tools, equipment and materials are properly issued, returned, tracked and accounted for.
- Conduct periodic checks on tools, equipment and consumables, and promptly report any discrepancies, loss or damage.
Financial Accountability & Integrity
- Ensure all monies, receipts, customer payments and financial transactions relating to movers operations are properly documented and accounted for.
- Ensure no unauthorised collection, discount, private arrangement or transaction is made with customers.
- Immediately report any discrepancies, loss, irregularities or suspected misconduct to the Manager or Higher Management.
- Safeguard customers' property, PERTAPIS assets, monies, equipment and information at all times.
- Uphold the highest standards of honesty, integrity and transparency in dealings with customers, staff, residents, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Declare any potential conflict of interest and refrain from obtaining personal benefit from any transaction or business opportunity related to PERTAPIS Movers.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and safe work practices at all times, and promote a strong safety culture among all personnel.
- Conduct safety briefings, where necessary, before moving activities begin.
- Ensure customers' belongings, tools, equipment and moving materials are handled properly and safely.
- Intervene immediately when unsafe work practices or conditions are observed.
- Promptly report accidents, incidents, near misses, damages or unsafe conditions in accordance with organisational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Maintain the confidentiality of client information, including personal particulars and contact details, in accordance with organisational policies and data protection requirements.
Initiative, Ownership & Continuous Improvement
- Anticipate operational requirements and act on them without waiting for repeated instructions.
- Identify potential problems and service gaps early, and propose practical solutions to Management.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvement, cost savings, service enhancement and additional revenue.
- Regularly review work processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction and overall business performance.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and see them through to satisfactory completion.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and sound judgement when handling operational challenges.
2. Candidate Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics,Operations, Business Management or relevant fields.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in movers, logistics, transport or facilities operations, with at least 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in sales, customer service or quotation handling is an advantage.
- Experience supervising residents, trainees or persons in a rehabilitation or social service setting is an advantage.
- Strong scheduling, manpower and vehicle deployment skills.
- Good customer communication and follow-up skills, with a commercial mindset for converting enquiries into jobs.
- Accurate record-keeping, including quotations, invoices, receipts and inventory bin cards.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office(Word, Excel); familiarity with job scheduling or invoicing software is preferred.
- Ability to lead, brief and discipline a team fairly and consistently.
- Proactive and self-driven, able to work with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in English and ability to communicate in Malay or other languages is an advantage.
- Valid Class 3 driving licence.
- Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)training, or willingness to obtain it.
- Familiarity with PDPA requirements for handling client information.
- Honesty, integrity and accountability, given the handling of cash and customer property.
- Physically fit and able to be on-site for site visits and job supervision.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, depending on job schedules.
- Willing to travel between job sites and attend organisational events.

5 days work week Monday to Friday - 9am to 6pm
