Job Responsibilities
- Ensure all materials purchased for projects meet quality requirements.
- Review material data sheets and specifications to understand technical and quality requirements.
- Prepare technical requirements for the procurement of structural and piping materials.
- Coordinate with clients, classification societies, and third-party inspection agencies.
- Review supplier quality documents, including ITP, MPS, MDS, and other related documents.
- Conduct supplier and manufacturer quality audits.
- Handle material-related NCRs, concessions, and technical queries.
- Review and approve Material Test Certificates (MTCs) and material inspection reports.
- Manage material receiving inspections and issue material release notes.
- Conduct pre-inspection meetings with suppliers and manufacturers.
- Coordinate source inspections at supplier or manufacturer facilities with clients, class representatives, and third-party inspectors.
- Monitor material inspection performance and prepare reports for the QA/QC Head of Department.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in materials quality management, source inspection, and quality control of structural and piping materials.
- Experience working on Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Knowledge of material certification, inspection processes, and quality documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with clients, suppliers, class societies, and third-party inspectors.
- Familiar with industry quality standards, codes, and inspection requirements.
