We are a warm and welcoming family residing in south Regina (Hillsdale area), seeking a compassionate and reliable FEMALE Personal Support Worker to assist our adult daughter, who lives at home and has a complex physical disability. Our goal is to find someone who not only provides exceptional personal care but also becomes a trusted companion and friend, focusing on her strengths.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personal Care: Complete daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, changing, and mobility support.
• Mobility Support: Be able to transfer from wheelchair to bed or bath with ceiling track (TLR training required)
• Medication Management: Administer and monitor medications as prescribed.
• Community Engagement: Encourage and facilitate participation in community activities and events.
• Activity Planning: Organize and engage in recreational and therapeutic activities that align with her interests.
• Emotional Support: Provide companionship, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
• Household Assistance: Perform housekeeping tasks dusting, vacuuming, mopping, some meals prep, laundry of female

Qualifications

Applicant must be FEMALE (due to personal care needs).

Certifications:

• Proof of current CPR and TLR (Transfer, Lifting, Repositioning) certifications

Experience:

• Previous experience in providing personal care/support roles is necessary.

Attributes:

• Reliable, trustworthy, punctual, and motivating.
• Reliable transportation to and from work is required

Background Check:

• Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

Language:

• Must be fluent and clear in English

• Must be empathetic, patient, strong communications skills, proactive & creative to engage female in activities.
