Embedded Software Engineer (m/f)

Description des tâches:

1. Design and optimize (hands-on) features of the full telecommunication software stack including digital part and baseband processing part from a system perspective.
2. Identify requirements, participate in design & specification generation activities.
3. Design and implement algorithms, firmware and software for PHY, Baseband and Digital RF level for communication applications in digital transceivers, FPGA and microprocessor architectures.
4. Generate creative, technically sound solutions and rapidly prototype them to support proof-of-concept experiments.
5. Review of standards and explore modern wireless and telecommunication standards.
6. Design modem system based on wireless standards and product requirements and set system performance targets for wireless subsystems.
7. Implementation of the telecommunication algorithms using C/C++, MATLAB, and VHDL or equivalent languages.
8. Interface with RF front end hardware teams to ensure consistency of telecom solution architecture with modem system requirements, such as RF performance, system control architecture, HW /SW interface architectures and long-term technology roadmaps.
9. Develop system performance models and drive cross functional system engineering tasks related to the system performance optimization.
10. Simulation and tests of the system components in lab or software or hardware or other environments.
11. Interfacing with the space and payload system engineers for payload development.
12. Test the implemented solutions in a lab and in the field.
13. Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the internal lab
14. Interact with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers with a wide range of skill sets including but not limited to: software development, firmware development, hardware development, data analysis, and RF design

16. Explore modern techniques and unconventional methods for algorithm design and problem solving.
17. Participate in project management and planning activities.
18. Contribute to technical documentation, project reviews and technical proposal & bids.
19. Working with external partners, contractors, and research institutes.
20. Regular reporting of the follow-up of tasks.
21. Participate and contribute to Design and development activities related to but not limited to the

telecommunication system of any future missions (or any other assigned mission in a capacity the company sees fit.
