About Omnidian Omnidian, Inc. is a fast-growing Series C tech-enabled service company revolutionizing performance assurance for the distributed solar and energy storage industries.  Omnidian is building a more sustainable future for the planet through our passionate teams, our innovative technology, and by creating an amazing customer experience. We are a certified B Corp, headquartered in Seattle, WA

The Job Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and sitting on the Strategy team, the Director of Business Process Excellence sets and leads Omnidian's enterprise process improvement agenda. This role looks across the whole business, from Go-To-Market through Operations and Field Services, to decide where process change will have the biggest impact on cost, risk, and service quality, then drives that change in partnership with functional leaders. This is an individual contributor role with enterprise-wide scope: you'll own enterprise process standards, partner directly with C-suite leaders, and be accountable for measurable improvements in how work moves across the company.

What You'll Do At Omnidian we believe in trust and autonomy. How you create an impact is ultimately up to you. Here is an outline of some of the things you’ll be doing:

Enterprise Process Architecture & Optimization (25%)

Enterprise Process Architecture: Own enterprise process architecture and standards, and lead the redesign of priority end-to-end workflows across business functions and core systems, partnering with functional owners across US and Australian operations.

Current-State Assessment: Lead current-state baselining to identify handoff friction, cycle-time lag, rework drivers, and capacity constraints, staying close enough to the details to challenge assumptions with data.

Target Future-State Design: Define target operating models and future-state workflows, and drive their adoption with functional and executive leaders.

Commercial Alignment: Partner continuously with Product Leadership to ensure operational process designs support commercialized product profitability and client service commitments.

Core Operations Re-Architecture & Upstream Integration (25%)

Core Operations Re-Architecture: Partner directly with Operations and Field Service leadership to re-architect high-friction value streams—including diagnostic triage, technician dispatch protocols, schedule density, and back-office handoffs to drive operational cost efficiencies.

Upstream Process Integration: Trace operational workflows upstream into Go-To-Market, Lead-to-Quote, contracting structures, pricing rules, and sales-to-onboarding handoffs to isolate and resolve root-cause friction at inception.

Platform Migrations & Expansion: Lead process baselining and workflow integration for global platform migrations, system integrations, and regional expansions.

Collaborative Capability Model & Functional SME Partnership (15%)

Direct Enterprise Process Work: Set direction for process leads embedded in functional departments on enterprise-level work, while they continue to report to their functional managers.

Co-Design with Functional Owners: Set enterprise process mapping standards, workflow notation, and documentation templates, and work alongside functional SMEs and team leads who build detailed operating procedures.

Capability Development: Coach and embed structured process engineering and continuous improvement methodologies across cross-functional teams to elevate overall organizational capability.

Governance, Enterprise Guardrails & Systems Alignment (15%)

Enterprise Standards Authority: Set enterprise process standards and cross-functional handoff requirements that functional SOPs must meet. Functional leaders own the day-to-day procedures within their teams.

Independent Enterprise Guardrail: Evaluate cross-functional handoffs, challenge localized sub-optimization, and ensure local functional designs serve the broader enterprise value stream.

Executive Alignment & Decision Driving: Bring cross-functional conflicts to executive leadership with a clear recommendation, backed by value-stream data and trade-off analysis, and drive the decision to closure.

Business Architecture Requirements: Define business architecture and technical system requirements for enterprise software, ensuring technology automates optimized workflows rather than digitizing operational complexity.

Technology & IT Translation: Partner closely with Technology and IT leadership to translate recommended target-state process designs into clear platform configuration specifications.

Who You Are Business strategist first: you think about how process design helps Omnidian win, not just how to make it more efficient. You're comfortable challenging C-suite leaders and still willing to get into the details.

Self-directed: you can take a broad mandate, figure out where the biggest problems are, and build the plan without someone handing you a list.

Systems thinker who views end-to-end workflows holistically to eliminate root-cause friction at inception.

Collaborative facilitator adept at aligning matrixed teams and driving co-design models without direct line authority.

Data-driven decision maker who surfaces bottleneck metrics and trade-off recommendations to guide executive alignment.

Experience You’ll Need 8–10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise process engineering, value stream mapping, or operational excellence, including leading at least one enterprise-wide or multi-function improvement program.

Track record partnering with and influencing C-suite leaders without direct authority.

Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or Master Black Belt / equivalent formal continuous improvement pedigree).

Deep technical experience integrating operational workflows into major enterprise CRM and Field Service Management platforms.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, or a technical/quantitative field.

Experience That’s a Plus Experience in clean energy, renewable technology, technical field service, logistics, or complex operational environments.

Advanced degree or MBA.

Proven track record supporting global operations, regional expansions, or platform migrations.
