GTM Engineer, Paid Search
About Us
Oliv.AI is a SalesTech global startup headquartered in San Francisco, debuting the world's first team of AI Agents for sales. With our recent $5.2M Seed funding, we solve one of the biggest problems for revenue teams: unreliable deal data. Oliv captures Deal Intelligence from every meeting, call, and email—without any rep involvement. The result is a clear, detailed view of every deal, presented in scorecards built on trusted sales methodologies like MEDDICC, BANT, and SPICED. Our AI agents are built for sales teams—sales managers, AEs, and RevOps—handling the work that takes them away from selling. With Oliv AI, sales teams can bring back focus on deals, strategy and conversation.
About the Role
We are hiring a GTM Engineer, Paid Search to build and iterate Oliv AI’s Google Ads and paid search motion for B2B SaaS pipeline.
This is not a traditional performance marketing role. We are not looking for someone whose main experience is managing large budgets, coordinating agencies, or optimizing campaigns only for CPL. We are looking for someone who can take a small budget, form sharp hypotheses, launch experiments quickly, learn from the data, and improve the system every week.
You will own Google Ads end to end: keyword research, competitor research, campaign structure, ad copy, landing page angles, conversion tracking, reporting, sales feedback loops, and pipeline analysis.
What You Will Own
Paid Search Experimentation
Build and own Oliv AI’s Google Ads experimentation roadmap.
Identify high-intent keyword opportunities across category, competitor, pain-point, and use-case searches.
Turn ICP insights, sales objections, CRM data, and buyer pain points into campaign hypotheses.
Launch small, focused tests before scaling spend.
Decide what to continue, pause, change, or scale based on actual learning.
Continuously improve campaign structure, targeting, bids, budgets, messaging, and conversion paths.
Find ways to learn quickly without relying on large budgets.
Google Ads Execution
Personally set up, launch, manage, and optimize Google Search campaigns.
Write and test ad copy across personas, search intent, pain points, competitors, and product use cases.
Review search terms, prune keywords, improve match types, and optimize budget allocation.
Build landing page messaging hypotheses and work with design/content/product marketing to improve conversion.
Own campaign quality, not just campaign activity.
GTM Systems and Tracking
Set up, monitor, and improve conversion tracking across Google Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager, CRM, and reporting tools.
Track performance from impression to click, conversion, meeting, opportunity, pipeline, and revenue.
Diagnose where the funnel is breaking: targeting, ad copy, landing page, offer, lead quality, handoff, sales follow-up, or attribution.
Build simple dashboards and reporting that show what is working, what is not, and what we should do next.
Partner with RevOps and Sales to connect campaign data with pipeline quality.
Sales and Pipeline Feedback Loops
Work closely with Sales to understand which leads are actually qualified.
Use call notes, CRM data, win/loss insights, and sales feedback to improve campaign targeting and messaging.
Translate paid search learnings into broader GTM insights for outbound, website messaging, content, and positioning.
Document repeatable plays so successful experiments can be scaled.
What We Are Looking For
4+ years of hands-on experience across growth marketing, demand generation, paid search, GTM operations, or B2B SaaS acquisition.
Strong hands-on expertise in Google Ads, especially Search.
Experience marketing B2B SaaS, AI, SalesTech, MarTech, RevOps, or similar software products.
Ability to personally build, launch, analyze, and improve campaigns without depending on an agency.
Strong understanding of ICP, buyer intent, funnels, CPL, CAC, SQLs, opportunities, pipeline, and ROI.
Experience with keyword research, competitor research, ad copy testing, landing page testing, and conversion tracking.
Comfort working with limited budgets and learning through disciplined experimentation.
Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools.
Strong analytical thinking and ability to explain campaign performance in plain business terms.
High ownership, fast execution, and comfort operating in an early-stage startup environment.
Strong Signals of Fit
You are likely to be a strong fit if:
You have built Google Ads campaigns yourself, not just managed an agency.
You have improved performance through better hypotheses, targeting, copy, landing pages and tracking - not just by increasing budget.
You know how to separate high-volume leads from qualified pipeline.
You can look at a messy campaign account and quickly identify what to fix first.
You are comfortable moving between strategy and execution in the same day.
You can write ads, review search terms, debug tracking, analyze CRM outcomes, and speak with Sales to understand lead quality.
You think like a GTM builder, not just a campaign manager.
You enjoy figuring out what works when the playbook is not obvious yet.
How to Apply
Please share examples of Google Ads or paid search campaigns you personally owned for a B2B SaaS or software company.
Include:
What business problem you were solving.
What budget constraints you had.
What campaign or experiment you launched.
What you changed after reviewing the data.
What impact the work had on qualified leads, meetings, pipeline, or revenue.
Bonus: Share a Loom walking through one Google Ads campaign you personally built. Cover the campaign structure, hypothesis, budget, results, what failed, what worked, and what you would do differently now.
