Join Nordic RCC, a fast-developing company determined to make a significant impact in the energy sector and to provide for a secure and efficient transition to the green, sustainable energy system. Job description The Data and Analytics team plays a central role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making across Nordic RCC. The team develops and maintains analytical products, data pipelines, and information services that support operational, strategic, and regulatory needs. As an application developer in our Data and Analytics team, you will build and maintain the applications, integrations and analytics services that turn data into reliable tools for operational support, reporting and decision-making. You will work closely with engineers, data scientists, IT specialists and business stakeholders to develop solutions that are robust, maintainable and aligned with platform standards. The analytics work is highly explorative and dynamic, and it is therefore important that you have a proactive, open, and innovative mindset, and are not afraid to challenge the status quo and approach issues in a new way. With a combination of skills within application development and visualization, you will play a crucial role in shaping our approach to business challenges and optimizing our processes and data quality. What you will do: Build Python- and SQL-based applications, APIs and services for analytics, reporting and operational use.
Develop data pipelines and integrations that turn source-system data into trusted analytical products.
Create dashboards, tools and user interfaces that make power-system and operational data easier to use.
Turn data science prototypes into stable applications, automation services and production-ready workflows.
Maintain and improve the Analytics platform, including stability, documentation, releases and technical standards.
Troubleshoot application and data-flow issues and help fix defects.
Work with data engineers, architects, IT operations, cybersecurity and business users to align solutions with user needs and platform standards.
What you bring: Experience developing applications or services in Python and working with SQL-based data.
Experience building APIs, back-end services, automation scripts or data-driven applications.
Experience with data pipelines, integrations or orchestration tools such as Dagster, Airflow or similar.
Strong software engineering habits, including readable code, testing, documentation, version control and maintainable design.
Experience using Git, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines or structured release processes.
Ability to investigate technical issues, identify root causes and implement practical fixes.
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containers or Kubernetes is an advantage.
Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; knowledge of power systems or the energy sector is a plus, but not required.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all the listed requirements. Your experience and perspective could be exactly what we are looking for.
