Multi-Trade Operative – Yeovil
Location: Yeovil, Somerset Pay: £22.00 – £23.00 per hour Contract: 6-month fixed term Potential: Opportunity to go permanent Benefits: Company van + fuel card
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join a Building Repairs & Maintenance team based in Yeovil . This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for a 6-month fixed-term contract , with the potential to move into a permanent position at the end of the contract.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of repairs and maintenance works across properties in Yeovil and the surrounding area. We are looking for someone with a qualified trade background in either Carpentry or Plumbing , who is also comfortable carrying out general multi-trade repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general building repairs and maintenance.
- Complete repairs within properties and customers' homes.
- Undertake works within your core trade of Carpentry or Plumbing .
- Carry out general multi-trade duties as required.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs to a high standard.
- Work safely and professionally at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service.
About You
- Recognised qualification in Carpentry or Plumbing .
- Previous experience in building repairs and maintenance.
- Strong multi-trade skills.
- Able to successfully complete a DBS check .
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and manage a varied workload.
