Technical Lead

JOB SUMMARY :

We are seeking a Technical Lead to own the technical direction of the product engineering team, guiding architecture decisions, mentoring engineers, and ensuring delivery quality across the stack. This role works closely with Product, QA, and DevOps to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Define and own the technical architecture and design standards across backend, mobile, and frontend teams
• Lead sprint planning, code reviews, and technical decision-making for the engineering team
• Mentor and upskill engineers, conducting regular 1:1s and technical guidance sessions
• Collaborate with Product and Business Analysts to translate requirements into technical designs
• Identify technical risks early and drive resolution of architectural and performance bottlenecks
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices, and CI/CD processes
• Liaise with stakeholders and present technical roadmaps and status updates
• Drive technology evaluation and adoption decisions across the engineering organization
• Balance hands-on technical contribution with team leadership and delivery oversight
• Own incident escalation and major technical decision-making during critical production issues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS :

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role
• Strong hands-on experience across backend systems and at least one modern web/mobile stack
• Proven experience architecting scalable, high-availability systems
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experience leading distributed or multi-squad engineering teams
• Track record of driving large-scale system migrations or re-architecture
• Familiarity with security, compliance, and performance-at-scale considerations
• Prior experience presenting technical strategy to senior leadership

Needs to be BTech/BE in CS, IT or Software Engineering ,Tech Project Management certifications ,Exposure to ISO standards for quality and data security. 2 years of exp in use of AI tools for development and testing ,Responsible for timely delivery of a quality product ,Directly manage a tech team of 10.
