DIRECTOR, NAVY ADVANCED MANUFACTURING TASK FORCE
The Director will provide executive leadership to scale Advanced Manufacturing (AdvM) across the Naval Enterprise. This involves applying program management and supply chain expertise to reduce single points of failure, decrease part lead times, and improve fleet readiness. The role requires accelerating the certification of AdvM parts, directing a rapid logistics transformation, and overseeing program execution to transition AdvM from prototyping to a resilient, enterprise-wide capability.
Major duties
- You will provide executive leadership to bridge industry capability gaps and establish the foundation to transition advanced manufacturing to an enterprise-wide supply chain and logistics capability.
- You will apply advanced program management, strategic governance, and supply chain expertise to eliminate single points of failure in naval logistics, reduce part lead times, and enhance fleet readiness.
- You will accelerate the engineering process for qualifying and certifying advanced manufacturing parts and advance its implementation across new-build and sustainment activities.
- You will direct a rapid logistics transformation by governing supply chain mapping, establishing digital repositories, optimizing manufacturing, and accelerating material and part certification.
- You will chair and direct the cross-functional task force to execute the strategic framework established in the DON AdvM Strategy and the CNO's Scaling Mandate.
- You will oversee program execution and support high-priority areas like supply chain mapping, catalog expansion for high-demand parts, DLA integration, and data rights framework implementation.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (TQs):
Your resume should demonstrate accomplishments that would satisfy the technical qualifications:
- TQ 1. Supply Chain & Logistics Modernization: Extensive experience directing major industrial programs with scaling advanced technologies-such as additive and digital manufacturing from prototype to enterprise deployment while optimizing depot logistics and aligning complex supply chain priorities across military, inter-agency, and commercial defense industrial base leaders.
- TQ 2. Acquisition, Contracting, & Intellectual Property Strategy: Expertise in Department of War acquisition planning and strategic development of commercial business and licensing models, mastery of intellectual property and data rights strategies to effectively negotiate complex contracts with commercial manufacturers.
5+ Years of executive level leadership experience directing major programs, digital supply chains, or enterprise logistics operations is preferred. Highly recommend a Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Business Administration, Program Management, Systems Management or related Discipline (Or) Equivalent Executive Experience
