Responsibilities:

Create illustrations that complement and enhance the text

Revising and refining illustrations based on feedback

Using digital or traditional media to create illustrations

Conducting research to accurately depict the subject matter

Ensuring consistent style and quality throughout a project

Meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously

Preparing and formatting illustrations for print or digital publication

Keeping up-to-date with current illustration trends and techniques

Requirements:

A strong portfolio showcasing a variety of illustration styles

Experience with digital illustration software like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop

Previous experience illustrating books.

Familiarity with the publishing industry

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Basic understanding of typography and layout principles

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Knowledge of copyright laws related to artwork

Bachelor's degree in Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field

Proven experience as an illustrator or similar role

Proficiency in both traditional and digital illustration techniques

Strong artistic and design skills

Attention to detail and a creative mindset

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary revisions

Understanding of color theory and composition

Basic knowledge of graphic design principles
