Insurance Specialist (m/f/x) Germany

Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich ( www.mutares.com ), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively supports its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million, across various industries. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.

Your Tasks Collaborate with deal teams to review and negotiate insurance-related terms in purchase agreements

Develop and implement insurance strategies to mitigate risks and enhance value creation opportunities throughout the investment lifecycle

Coordinate with insurance brokers, underwriters, and carriers to secure appropriate insurance coverage for portfolio companies

Support in the administration/renewal of insurance policies of Mutares Holding

Your Profile Successfully completed an apprenticeship or a Bachelor´s degree in the field of Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration or similar with outstanding results

At least 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on insurance brokerage, underwriting, or risk management

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach

Strong understanding of insurance products and coverage types to conduct insurance due diligence and negotiate insurance terms in the context of M&A transactions and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Business fluency in German and English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner

Willingness to travel up to 20% and to work in an international environment
