ENGINE FITTER (MARINE)

Assist the engineering team in maintenance and repair of engine-room machinery. Carry out fitting, dismantling, assembly, and adjustment of mechanical components. Assist in the maintenance of main engines, auxiliary engines, pumps, valves, and other machinery. Inspect machinery parts for wear, damage, and defects. Perform basic machining, grinding, cutting, and welding work when required. Assist with overhauling and repairs of machinery and equipment. Use hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment safely and properly. Keep the engine workshop, tools, and work areas clean and organized. Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company regulations. Report equipment defects and completed work to the responsible engineer. Assist during emergency repairs and machinery breakdowns onboard.
