Head of Thailand Office (Sea Freight Export)

Lead Thailand sea freight export business, focusing on Thailand to Europe & Mediterranean lanes. Own carrier relations, operations, team, and revenue growth. Report to HQ.

Responsibilities:

• Carrier Management: Primary contact for MSC, Maersk, CMA, COSCO, Evergreen, ONE, HMM. Negotiate rates and secure peak-season space. Support HQ on strategic deals.
• Operations & Compliance: Own full export workflow — booking, stuffing, Thai e-Customs/NSW clearance, B/L & C/O issuance. • Ensure regulatory compliance; coordinate truckers/warehouses/brokers for on-time departure and low demurrage.
• Team & Office: Recruit, train, manage local staff. Establish SOPs. Oversee admin, finance compliance, and entity registration/renewal.
• Sales: Develop new clients; hit monthly volume/revenue targets on EU&MED lanes. Coordinate with China sales teams on key accounts.

KPIs: Volume/revenue vs target, rate competitiveness, on-time departure, demurrage control, customs compliance, team stability, client satisfaction.

Qualifications: 3-5+ years sea freight export management in forwarding/NVOCC Thailand-origin export experience, especially EU&MED Strong knowledge of Thai customs (e-Customs/NSW) and local market Fluent English; strong negotiation and cross-cultural skills Bachelor degree in Trade/Logistics or related; MS Office proficient Plus: local carrier network, basic Chinese, branch startup experience
