About the Position

Mowatt Canine Company is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our team as a Weekend Kennel Attendant. This hands-on, fast-paced position involves dog handling, cleaning, customer service, and general facility support.

The successful applicant will be comfortable working independently and as part of a team while maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment for the dogs in our care.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and safely handling dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
• Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, equipment, work areas, and shared spaces
• Assisting clients during dog drop-off and pick-up
• Processing payments and providing professional customer service
• Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Following established safety, cleaning, and animal-handling procedures
• Supporting the team with daily operational tasks as required

Qualifications and Requirements

• Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds
• Able to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Full weekend availability
• Customer service or animal-care experience is considered an asset but is not required
