Interim Technical Accountant

Location: Bristol Duration: 3-6 months Rate: Competitive daily rate Start: Available at short notice Hybrid Working

We are seeking an experienced Technical Accounting professional to support the business through a key period of growth and change, including the delivery of their audit.

The role will have a strong focus on acquisition accounting, consolidation and FRS 102 , working closely with the wider finance team as well as external auditors and lenders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support technical accounting activities across the Group
• Drive the audit, ensuring robust preparation and delivery
• Provide expertise across acquisition accounting and consolidation
• Ensure appropriate application of FRS 102
• Act as a key point of contact for external auditors
• Work confidently with lenders and other financial stakeholders
• Support the business through complex accounting and reporting requirements
• Provide practical, hands-on input to the wider finance function

About you We are looking for someone with:

• Strong technical accounting experience, ideally gained in a complex or acquisitive environment
• Proven experience with Group consolidations and acquisition accounting
• Strong knowledge of FRS 102
• Experience working directly with auditors and lenders
• Must be a qualified accountant
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to operate at senior stakeholder level
• A hands-on, pragmatic approach and the ability to make an immediate impact
• Availability to start at short notice
