Business Head (Rpet Division) Company: Polytanks Ghana Business Unit: Ghana Job Location: Operations, Plastics & Packaging 2 days left Role Summary The General Manager, rPET will oversee the daily operations of the rPET (recycled PET) manufacturing facility, driving productivity, quality, and commercial performance in line with the Mohinani Group’s sustainability and circular-economy goals. This is a strategic and execution-focused leadership role responsible for the entire production process, budget and resource management, people leadership, stakeholder relations, and the sales strategy for recycled PET products in domestic and international markets. Key Responsibilities
Operational Efficiency & Production Management
Implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency in line with the group’s sustainability goals. Manage the entire production process of the rPET facility, from raw material intake to finished pellet output. Monitor production metrics and adjust workflows or processes to maximize output and minimize waste.
Quality, HSE & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure the product meets both internal quality standards and external customer and regulatory requirements. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen quality control systems and workplace health & safety standards. Ensure compliance with environmental and industry regulations governing rPET manufacturing.
People Leadership & Team Development
Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing management team. Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous professional development across the plant. Ensure effective workforce planning and resource utilization to meet production and business goals
Stakeholder & Commercial Relations
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, government agencies, and community leaders. Develop and execute sales strategies to market recycled PET products to domestic and international buyers. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of customers, negotiating contracts and pricing in line with market trends.
Financial, Sustainability & Resource Management
Develop and manage the facility’s budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation. Monitor financial performance indicators and make adjustments to operations to meet financial targets. Drive sustainability initiatives in line with corporate social responsibility and circular-economy goals. Scope Of The Role Reports to: Business Head / Managing Director, Polytanks Ghana Limited Business Unit: rPET Division Location: Accra, Ghana Geographical Scope: Ghana, with export markets regionally & internationally Direct Reports: Plant Management Team (Production, Quality, Finance, Sales, HR) Budget Responsibility: Facility operating budget, capex, and cost management Education
Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years’ experience in commercial operations, manufacturing, or production, preferably in PET recycling, including senior leadership roles. Proven track record leading manufacturing operations and driving business performance. Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and financial management skills. Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
