Merrickville Daycare is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our preschool team. The successful candidate will support the planning and implementation of a high-quality early learning program that aligns with How Does Learning Happen? and promotes children?s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Observe, document, and assess children?s learning and development
• Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Support children?s individual needs, interests, and abilities
• Maintain compliance with licensing requirements, health and safety policies, and centre procedures
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and reflective practice

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent
• Current registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
• Valid First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification
• Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of Ontario early learning frameworks and child development
• Experience working in a licensed preschool setting is an asset

Valid CPR - Standard First Aid Level C. Current vulnerable background check Up to date immunizations and a current TB test. Must have strong communication, supervision and observations skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.42-$23.19 per hour
