Group Finance Manager

Job Summary
This role reports directly to the Group CFO and involves managing day-to-day bookkeeping for Singapore entities, statutory reporting, audit coordination, and group consolidation. You will also collaborate on designing and building an in-house accounting system, gaining deep insight into accounting processes and systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-set bookkeeping for Singapore entities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments
- Perform month-end reconciliations and prepare supporting schedules to ensure accurate financial records
- Run automated management reporting packs to support business decision-making
- Prepare and file GST returns and assist with corporate tax and secretarial processes
- Oversee cash management and execute payment runs to maintain liquidity
- Generate Management Information System (MIS) reports for internal stakeholders
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes to finalize financial statements
- Prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with SFRS(I) / IFRS standards
- Manage external audit processes as the primary point of contact, ensuring timely and accurate audit completion
- Perform group consolidation across multiple jurisdictions, including intercompany eliminations and foreign exchange translation
- Apply IFRS 15 revenue recognition principles for service contract arrangements
- Develop reporting and analysis tools using Excel and Power BI to enhance financial insights
- Collaborate directly with the CFO to design, build, and test the company’s in-house accounting system
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, or actively working towards ACCA / ISCA / CA Singapore
- 3 to 6 years of accounting experience with ownership of full-set bookkeeping
- Proficient in preparing consolidated accounts
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and structured data management
- Practical daily use of AI tools to improve work efficiency
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience preparing financial statements or managing audits
- Consolidation experience across multiple entities
- Skills in Power BI, MS Access, SQL, or other database/programming tools
- Exposure to insurance, warranty, or service contract business models
- Experience working in start-up or founder-led business environments
