Process and Manufacturing Engineer

You will be required to perform and undertake all such duties and responsibilities relative to your appointment and to carry out any reasonable instructions or directions as may be conveyed to you. Below are some, but not limited to:

• Define manufacturing process as well as estimated data (tooling cost/parts layout/material usage – BILL OF MATERIALS) for new project introductions (RFQs – request for quotes);
• Define and design die-cutting tooling (AutoCAD / 2D drawings);
• Prepare Process & Manufacturing documentation (CAD Drawing, BOM, ECN, Control Plan, Working Instructions, etc);
• Evaluate die-cutting manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency, speed, and cost;
• Support production with trouble-shooting activities and production delays occurrences(availability);
• Define and promote continuous improvement in operational performance KPIs (Scrap, efficiency, cost, Yield, customer complaints, Audit, etc.);
• Carry out maintenance activities and interventions;
• Find and implement ways to reduce costs and maximize quality;
• Train staff in new and existing processes;
• Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, suppliers, and team members;
• Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations;
• Study/up grade systems and processes with new technologies;

Experience and hard skills:

Must

• Degree in Engineering and or Technician;
• Proficiency in English speaking and writing;
• 4+ years’ experience in Manufacturing/production;
• Highly organized, meticulous and can work well under pressure and tight deadlines;
• Prior experience in continuous process improvement culture/approach (cost, efficiency, quality);
• Proficient computer skills;
• Data collection and evaluation – data-driven approach;
• CAD 2D Software skills;
• Previous knowledge and understanding on flat-bed/rotary die-cut processes/machines;

Highly Appreciated

• ISO 9001 audit experience;
• 6 SIGMA and Lean Manufacturing Experience;
• ISO 13485 / medical products;
• Chinese language speaking and writing;
• Laser Machine Hands-On Experience;

Hours of Work and working environment

Office working hours shall typically be staggered from 8:00 am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, on a forty-four-hour work week .

When appropriate, you will be required to work overtime on weekdays and weekends. Time off shall be granted upon approval by Management. Office and manufacturing are quiet and fully air-conditioned.

Salary range

Negotiable.
