Scriptwriter (Content & Video Script)

About the Role We're looking for a Scriptwriter who understands that a good script isn't just words on a page — it's a plan for something people will actually watch. You'll write for client campaigns, brand content, social media, and live-streaming talent, then stay with the work through production. If you can write a hook that survives the first three seconds of a scroll, and you're curious about why some content works and some doesn't, read on.
What You'll Do
- Develop concepts and write scripts for short-form video, brand content, ads, and campaign work
- Turn client briefs into clear scripts with hooks, structure, and a payoff
- Write in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, matching each brand's voice
- Build shot-by-shot breakdowns and storyboards with the videographer and creative team
- Write talking points, segment rundowns, and prompts for live-streaming talent and hosts
- Adapt one concept across formats — TikTok, Reels, Shorts, YouTube, and TVC-style cuts
- Sit in on shoots to adjust lines on the spot when something isn't landing
- Handle client revisions without losing the idea
- Study content performance and feed what you learn into the next script
- Keep up with platform trends, internet culture, and what audiences are responding to right now
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of professional writing experience — agency, production house, media, or in-house content team
- A portfolio is mandatory — scripts, published videos, campaign work, or writing samples. Applications without samples won't be reviewed
- Excellent writing in Bahasa Indonesia, with solid working English
- Real understanding of short-form video structure: hooks, pacing, retention, call-to-action
- Genuinely online — you know current trends, formats, and references without having to research them
- Able to take feedback and revise fast without getting precious about your draft
- Comfortable writing across different brand voices and industries
- Organized enough to handle several scripts at once and hit deadlines
