Occupational Therapy - Team Manager
Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist ready to lead and inspire a team? We’re looking for a dynamic and reflective leader to join our Adult Social Care service in Stoke, driving innovation and excellence in occupational therapy practice.
Your Mission:
Ensure individuals are fully involved and empowered throughout their journey with the service
Understand each person’s unique needs to offer tailored, effective solutions
Identify and remove systemic barriers to efficient service delivery
Promote independence, connection, and well-being through outcome-focused support
Regularly engage with service users to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement
What will your responsibilities be?
To be successful in this role, you will
Promote inclusive, identity-affirming practice across your team
Champion the occupational therapy profession within and beyond the organisation
Use critical reflection to enhance your own and others’ practice
Recognise and address professional limitations and knowledge gaps
Apply ethical, legal, and human rights frameworks to complex decision-making
Challenge inappropriate use of power and promote best practice in authority
Provide expert advice in complex cases and contribute to policy development
Maintain high professional standards and foster a culture of learning
Demonstrate awareness of effective OT and social care models and interventions
Deputise for the Strategic Manager and support fellow Team Managers as needed

Qualifications & Experience:
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
Proven leadership experience in adult social care or community OT
Strong understanding of legal, ethical, and human rights frameworks
Confident in reflective practice, supervision, and service development
Committed to empowering individuals and improving service outcomes
