Product Designer Intern

JOB SUMMARY

Product Designer Intern will have a background in product design and development for bag, pouch, etc, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to sustainability. This role involves overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from concept to production, and requires project management skills to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Development and Market Analysis:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales and production to develop new product concepts and designs that align with market demands.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for new Liberty Society products.
• Develop prototypes and initial designs based on feedback and testing results.

Design and Visual Guidelines Execution:

• Utilize software and other design tools to create detailed drawings and renderings of products.
• Create detailed product specifications, including materials, dimensions, and production methods, ensuring adherence to sustainability standards.
• Ensure designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with the company’s sustainability goals
• Collaborate with sustainability & procurement team using sustainability materials and oversee the production process.

Project Management:

• Supporting multiple design & product development projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and project milestones are achieved.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues that arise during the product development process.

Product Analysis & Improvement:

• Implement revisions from feedback analysis to ensure products meet the expectation from design and fulfill marketing objectives.
• Conduct thorough market testing and evaluation of products to identify and resolve any design or production issues.

Innovation and Sustainability:

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in sustainable product design and manufacturing.
• Champion the company’s commitment to sustainability by identifying and implementing eco-friendly design practices and materials.

REQUIREMENTS

• Final year student or bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Having organizational or internship experience in product design for the B2B manufacturing sector, would be a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other design tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Passion for sustainability and a deep understanding of sustainable design principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
