Product Owner - Technology Risk and Compliance

Role purpose

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner and technology leader. The role combines product ownership and team leadership responsibilities with regional stakeholder engagement across Asia.

The successful candidate will provide a visible technology management presence for Risk and Compliance-related initiatives in Singapore and the wider Asia region. They will act as a key link between regional Risk and Compliance stakeholders, technology delivery teams and global leadership, helping to align priorities, resolve delivery matters efficiently, and ensure regional requirements are reflected in product planning and solution delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Risk and Security delivery team, ensuring clear priorities, effective collaboration and reliable delivery.
• Own and prioritise the product backlog, aligning delivery with business value, risk, regulatory requirements and strategic objectives.
• Coordinate with business, technology, architecture and product stakeholders to deliver and embed relevant capabilities.
• Act as the key technology representative for Singapore and Asia in regional meetings, governance forums and stakeholder discussions.
• Serve as the primary technology contact for regional Risk and Compliance stakeholders on initiatives, dependencies and delivery matters.
• Ensure local and regional Risk, Compliance and regulatory requirements are captured and reflected in technology planning and solution design.
• Facilitate collaboration between Asia-based stakeholders and global technology teams, including escalation and resolution of cross-location issues.
• Strengthen alignment between the Asia Risk and Compliance agenda and the roadmap, operating model and delivery cadence.
• Identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies and opportunities to improve collaboration and adoption.

Required qualifications and experience

• Significant experience in product ownership, technology delivery, business analysis, programme delivery or a comparable leadership role.
• Demonstrated experience leading and coaching agile or cross-functional technology teams.
• Proven ability to manage product backlogs, prioritise competing requirements and deliver business outcomes in a complex stakeholder environment.
• Experience working with Risk, Compliance, Regulatory Technology, Financial Crime Compliance, financial services or similarly regulated environments is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of technology delivery lifecycles, agile methodologies, stakeholder management and change adoption.
• Experience working across international teams and managing stakeholders across different regions and time zones.
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
