*Position Summary*
KTI Limited is hiring a contract Human Resources professional for a maternity leave coverage position ending April 30, 2028. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for delivering comprehensive human resources support with a primary focus on payroll and benefits administration, employee relations, and leave and attendance management. The role serves as a trusted resource to employees and leaders, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment legislation while supporting a positive and productive workplace culture.

*Key Responsibilities:*
_*Payroll & Benefits Administration*_
- Process full cycle payroll on a bi-weekly basis
- Process and review payroll-related changes and additions
- Manages employee lifecycle changes, including new hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves of absence, status changes, and terminations
- Administer employee benefit programs and monitor changes
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, deductions, and compensation
_*Employee Relations*_
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns
- Assist in resolving employee relations matters through consultation, investigation, and conflict resolution
- Support performance management processes, including coaching, disciplinary actions, performance plans, and documentation
- Conduct workplace investigations and maintain confidential records
- Support employee engagement initiatives
_*Leave & Attendance Management*_
- Administer vacation, sick leave, and statutory leaves
- Coordinate full cycle return-to-work and accommodation processes
- Track attendance and absenteeism trends
_*Recruitment & Onboarding*_
- Coordinate job postings, candidate screening, and interviews
- Prepare employment offers and complete onboarding
- Facilitate new hire orientation
_*HR Compliance, Reporting & Special Projects*_
- Maintain employee files and HRIS records
- Prepare HR metrics and workforce reports
- Support policy updates, audits, and HR projects
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting metrics and organizational trends to leadership
Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time by your manager.
*Qualifications:*
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Payroll Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressive HR experience, including payroll, employee relations, benefits administration, and leave management.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll practices and compliance, including payroll legislation, statutory remittances, taxable benefits, ROEs, and year-end processing.
- Demonstrated ability to process payroll accurately, maintain data integrity, identify discrepancies, and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of employment and labour legislation, including the Employment Standards Act (ESA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), AODA, and applicable legislation across multiple provinces.
- Experience with payroll and HRIS systems; ADP Workforce Now experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Word.
- CHRP designation (or working toward one) and/or PCP designation is considered an asset.
