Vehicle Technician

Kevin O'Leary Group is looking to hire 6 vehicle technicians for their Bandon dealership, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, annual salary between Euros 37,000 and 48,000 Euros, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job responsibilities:

• diagnose and repair faults and service vehicles as per manufacturer guidelines;
• carry out and record electronic vehicle health checks to determine if additional work is required;
• keep up to date with latest technological developments in the brands;
• complete comprehensive write ups on job cards detailing work carried out;
• communicate with the parts department to ensure correct parts are identified and ordered;
• communicate with the workshop controller to identify if additional work is required, or if repairs cannot be completed within the agreed timeframe;
• save and tag warranty parts as per manufacturer requirements;
• meet the efficiency and productivity standards as set by the workshop controller;
• work with your colleagues to provide excellent customer service and to share best practice;
• ensure that workshop housekeeping standards are maintained at all times including the use of tools.

Candidate requirements:

• qualified motor technician to level 5 or equivalent qualification and have experience on modern vehicle electronics;
• previous manufacturer experience a distinct advantage;
• you will be organised, flexible and prepared to work as a team;
• you will be diligent and work well under pressure;
• full clean driving licence;
• be able to work to high standards and be motivated to learn;
• you will be professional and maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
