Plant and Machinery Supervisor/Heavy Equipment Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plant and Machinery Supervisor to oversee the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment on a prestigious high-speed rail construction project in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, efficient, and timely use of machinery, support project deadlines, and lead a dedicated team to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise the daily operation and maintenance of heavy equipment and plant machinery on-site.
• Coordinate and schedule equipment usage to optimize productivity and meet project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inspections and assessments of machinery to identify and address any operational issues.
• Manage a team of operators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to align plant operations with project goals.
• Maintain accurate records of machinery usage, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability.
• Investigate and report any equipment accidents or breakdowns promptly, recommending corrective actions.
• Proven experience as a Plant and Machinery Supervisor or Heavy Equipment Supervisor in large-scale construction projects, preferably in rail infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of heavy machinery operations, maintenance, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with high-speed rail construction processes is a plus.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop personnel.
• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a proactive approach to machinery management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.
• Relevant certifications related to plant machinery operation and safety (e.g., certified heavy equipment operator) are desirable.
• Willingness to work on-site in Abu Dhabi with flexibility for extended hours as project demands require.
