Background Checks & Due Diligence Officer

Responsibilities:

Conduct employee and candidate background checks. Verify academic qualifications, employment history, references, and other relevant information. Carry out due diligence investigations in line with company procedures. Prepare detailed and accurate verification reports. Identify discrepancies, potential risks, and red flags. Maintain confidentiality and properly manage sensitive information. Liaise with relevant institutions, organizations, and referees during verification processes. Maintain proper records and documentation of completed checks.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or HND in a relevant discipline. Experience in background verification, investigations, compliance, audit, or a related field is an advantage. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Excellent report-writing and communication skills. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Ability to conduct thorough research and follow up on information.
