Sr QE/Test Automation Engineer (Mobile)

Accountabilities: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms.

Identify automation opportunities by collaborating with QA, engineering, and product teams to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Build and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines to automate test execution and support reliable releases.

Integrate automated testing into the software development lifecycle, including build verification, regression testing, and release validation.

Execute automated test suites to identify defects, performance issues, and reliability concerns, ensuring accurate reporting and resolution.

Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and work with engineering teams to prioritize and resolve issues.

Review automation code, provide technical feedback, and promote best practices for maintainable and scalable testing solutions.

Mentor junior QE team members by sharing automation expertise, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Stay current with mobile testing trends and emerging technologies, recommending improvements to testing processes and frameworks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

5+ years of experience in software quality engineering with strong experience in mobile test automation.

Advanced knowledge of mobile platforms, including iOS and Android, and their associated testing frameworks.

Strong programming skills in languages commonly used for automation, such as Java, Python, or Swift.

Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Appium, Espresso, XCTest, or similar technologies.

Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD environments using tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI, or equivalent platforms.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience debugging complex technical issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and product teams.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with software testing certifications or automation best practices is a plus.

Basic to intermediate knowledge of AI and Agentic AI concepts applied to software testing.

Experience using Cursor IDE and understanding of MCP concepts is preferred.
