Accountabilities: The Senior UX Designer, DTC Web will lead the design and research efforts behind digital commerce experiences, ensuring web journeys are intuitive, accessible, conversion-focused, and aligned with customer expectations. This role requires a combination of UX strategy, interaction design, qualitative research, experimentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Own UX/UI design execution across digital commerce experiences, including subscription selection, checkout flows, product pages, onboarding journeys, and core website experiences.

Advocate for customer-centered design practices and establish strong UX standards across teams and product initiatives.

Create prototypes and design concepts for A/B and multivariate testing, translating experimentation goals into clear, measurable design solutions.

Conduct customer research through interviews, usability studies, and concept testing to uncover insights and inform product decisions.

Analyze customer behavior through qualitative and quantitative signals, including session recordings, heatmaps, and funnel data, to identify friction points and optimization opportunities.

Translate research findings into prioritized design recommendations and actionable product improvements.

Design experiences that improve customer lifetime value by reducing friction, strengthening onboarding, and supporting subscription growth and retention.

Maintain and evolve design systems, component libraries, and UX patterns to ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability across digital experiences.

Partner with product managers, engineers, creative teams, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality implementation of designs.

Review development builds, provide feedback, and iterate on solutions while balancing user needs with technical considerations.

Support improvements to site navigation, information architecture, taxonomy, search, filtering, and purchasing journeys.

Conduct competitive research and stay current on emerging UX, ecommerce, subscription, and consumer technology trends.

Leverage AI-assisted design and prototyping tools to accelerate experimentation and improve workflow efficiency.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced UX designer with a strong background in ecommerce, digital products, and customer-centered design. They should combine strong design execution skills with research expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

5–8 years of UX/UI design experience with a portfolio demonstrating both strong design craft and research-driven decision-making.

Proven experience designing for ecommerce, direct-to-consumer websites, subscription products, or similar digital commerce environments.

Strong experience conducting qualitative research, including planning and moderating user interviews, usability studies, and concept tests.

Ability to synthesize research findings and behavioral data into clear design strategies and product recommendations.

Advanced proficiency with Figma for design, prototyping, collaboration, and developer handoff.

Experience maintaining or contributing to shared design systems and component libraries.

Familiarity with session recording and analytics tools such as Hotjar, FullStory, Noibu, or similar platforms.

Understanding of A/B testing principles, experimentation frameworks, and conversion optimization practices.

Experience designing responsive, mobile-first web experiences across multiple devices and screen sizes.

Strong systems thinking with the ability to design scalable solutions beyond individual screens.

Ability to communicate design decisions clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Comfortable collaborating with engineering teams and adapting solutions based on technical constraints.

Experience using AI-powered design or prototyping tools to quickly test and validate ideas.

Bachelor’s degree in User-Centered Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or equivalent professional experience.

United States: $129,000 – $190,000 USD

Canada: $149,500 – $176,000 CAD
