Pessoa Backend Java Especialista (Z-Unit)
Accountabilities: The Backend Java Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated backend architectures focused on scalability, resilience, security, and performance. The role requires strong technical leadership, architectural decision-making, and the ability to drive engineering excellence through modern development practices.
Design, develop, and maintain highly complex backend architectures using modern Java technologies.
Build and improve distributed systems focused on high availability, resilience, and low latency.
Design and manage complex CI/CD pipelines integrating multiple services and environments using cloud-native technologies.
Implement and maintain solutions involving AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker-based architectures.
Ensure the application of security best practices, authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2, and monitoring and observability standards.
Make technical decisions based on analysis of algorithms, data structures, scalability, and system performance.
Promote the adoption of Generative AI tools, such as Copilot and Claude Code, to improve productivity and software quality.
Collaborate with engineering teams to define technical standards and continuously improve development practices.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a senior backend engineer with deep experience in Java ecosystems, distributed architectures, and cloud environments. They should have strong problem-solving skills, technical autonomy, and the ability to design solutions for high-scale systems.
Advanced knowledge of modern Java versions and Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security.
Solid experience with microservices architecture, integration patterns, and messaging systems such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Advanced experience with relational database modeling and optimization, especially PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of non-relational databases such as Redis and MongoDB.
Practical experience with automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and load testing.
Experience with container technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Experience working with cloud environments, especially AWS.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as GitHub Actions.
Knowledge of observability practices and tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
Strong analytical skills, ownership mindset, and ability to make technical decisions in complex environments.
