Accountabilities: The Key Account Manager will own sales growth initiatives across assigned retail customers while managing broker partnerships and driving strategic account execution. The role requires strong ownership of customer relationships, promotional planning, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination to deliver business objectives.

Manage broker relationships and serve as the primary customer contact when needed, driving sales growth, revenue performance, and market share expansion.

Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with retail customers through joint business planning and collaborative growth initiatives.

Build customer-specific sales strategies by identifying business needs, market opportunities, and long-term growth opportunities.

Lead sales presentations, customer line reviews, and business reviews to communicate value propositions and accelerate key initiatives.

Analyze syndicated and self-service data platforms to uncover insights, identify trends, and develop compelling sales recommendations.

Create and manage annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets while developing action plans to achieve or exceed goals.

Develop trade promotion strategies, manage budgets, and optimize promotional investments to improve sales efficiency.

Own product forecasting processes, including inputs for existing and new products, and support broader demand planning activities.

Manage customer spending, deductions, and trade-related processes while ensuring alignment with financial objectives.

Collaborate with internal teams including sales strategy, trade, marketing, finance, operations, supply chain, and product teams to drive customer success.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen execution, and support continued business growth.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced consumer packaged goods sales professional with strong retail expertise, proven account management capabilities, and the ability to influence customers and internal stakeholders. You should be comfortable working independently, using data to guide decisions, and operating in a dynamic growth environment.

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in CPG, food, grocery retail sales, or related commercial roles.

Demonstrated success managing retail accounts and growing brands or emerging categories.

Experience managing and collaborating with broker networks to achieve sales objectives.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market insights, and reporting tools.

Experience developing sales strategies, customer presentations, and business growth plans.

Knowledge of trade promotion management, budgeting, and retail sales planning.

Experience working with distributors and small-to-medium retail customers is preferred.

Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions, including category management, trade, marketing, finance, operations, and strategy teams.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging internal and external leadership.

Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable navigating changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits, selling events, conferences, and company meetings.

Passion for building mission-driven brands and contributing to meaningful business growth is preferred.
