Team Leader – Warehouse

Hourly rate: £15.84 per hour Shift pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off Holywell

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join a busy warehouse operation.

This is a hands-on supervisory position where you will lead and support a small team, ensuring the smooth, safe and efficient running of the shift. You’ll be responsible for team performance, training, health & safety and day-to-day warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Warehouse Operatives.
• Ensure staffing levels are maintained to meet operational requirements.
• Coach and develop team members, identifying training and development needs.
• Manage attendance and performance within the team.
• Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure procedures are followed.
• Carry out safety checks and ensure incidents and near misses are reported and addressed.
• Oversee picking orders, stock replenishment, loading and unloading vehicles and supplying materials to production.
• Operate Counterbalance FLT and PPT.
• Support stocktakes and audits and ensure stock procedures are followed.
• Ensure SOPs and GMP standards are maintained.
• Provide a clear and effective handover to the incoming shift.
• Work closely with other departments including Production, Maintenance, Quality, H&S and HR.
• Take a hands-on approach to resolving day-to-day operational issues.

About you:

• Minimum 3 years' experience within a warehouse environment.
• Previous experience supervising or leading a team of warehouse/general operatives.
• FLT Reach and Counterbalance experience.
• Good IT, numeracy and literacy skills.
• GCSE standard in English and Maths.
• Experience of MFG Pro and RF Express would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Quality and safety focused.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on warehouse environment.

The role has direct supervisory responsibility for Warehouse Operators and includes both people management and practical warehouse duties.
