Professional Tailor

Responsibilities:

Sew and assemble garments from cut pieces in line with the specification, pattern and sample provided.

Work to the measurements, seam allowances and finishing standards set for each style.

Complete assigned daily output targets to the required quality standard and within the allocated timeline.

Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines and related equipment safely and correctly.

Carry out finishing work including hemming, topstitching, buttonholes, fastenings and pressing as required.

Check own work for defects before submitting it for inspection, and correct rework promptly when returned.

Handle fabric carefully to avoid damage, soiling or unnecessary waste, and return all offcuts and surplus material to the workshop.

Keep the work station clean, organised and safe at all times.

Report machine faults, material defects or anything likely to delay output to the Production Manager without delay.

Follow all workshop procedures, attendance requirements and instructions from the Production Manager.

Requirements:

Minimum qualification: Degree 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
