Supervisor Piping & Mechanical

Our client, located in the Beveren region, is looking for a Supervisor Piping & Mechanical with strong technical expertise and people leadership skills.

• You’ll lead, coordinate and supervise daily piping and mechanical maintenance activities with a strong focus on HSE, quality, cost control and operational continuity
• You’ll plan, prioritize and allocate maintenance work to ensure efficient execution of both preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• You’ll organize daily toolbox meetings, communicate priorities and ensure compliance with all safety procedures and permit-to-work requirements
• You’ll actively supervise field activities and provide technical support to technicians and contractors during the execution of maintenance work
• You’ll coordinate closely with Operations, Engineering, Reliability and Inspection departments to align maintenance priorities and ensure efficient plant availability
• You’ll ensure the safe and efficient execution of maintenance activities on piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks and other static equipment
• You’ll safeguard the mechanical integrity of plant assets by ensuring that maintenance and repair activities are executed according to engineering standards, site procedures and applicable regulations
• You’ll support inspection programs and follow up on findings, integrity assessments, statutory inspections and corrective actions
• You’ll coordinate and manage external contractors, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, planning and budget requirements
• You’ll monitor work quality and verify that repairs, modifications and installations are completed according to specifications and industry standards
• You’ll support the preparation, execution and evaluation of shutdowns, turnarounds and maintenance projects
• You’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, efficiency and maintenance performance
• You’ll ensure accurate maintenance administration and reporting in SAP, including work order completion, time registration and maintenance history
• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical qualification, or equivalent by experience
• You have at least 5 years of relevant maintenance experience within the petrochemical, chemical, oil & gas or related process industry
• You’re experienced in a supervisory, team leader or coordination role within an industrial environment
• You have solid knowledge of piping systems, pressure equipment, heat exchangers, storage tanks and other static equipment
• You have a good understanding of mechanical integrity principles, inspection methodologies and reliability-driven maintenance practices
• You have a strong knowledge of HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems, contractor management and process safety
• You’re experienced with SAP or another CMMS system and good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• You own strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage changing priorities
• You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling effective collaboration across multiple disciplines
• You are fluent in Dutch and have a good command of English
• You have a hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate, coach and develop people
