Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.

Review financial statements and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing financial analysis and insights to senior management.

Manage monthly and annual closing processes, bank reconciliations, balance verification, and cash control procedures.

Oversee banking operations, maintain relationships with banks, and monitor credit facilities.

Manage the collection of outstanding receivables from the Unified Procurement Authority (UPA) and government entities, including hospitals and ministries.

Monitor the full Order-to-Cash cycle, from delivery and invoicing to approval and payment, ensuring timely collection and reducing Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

Follow up on government contracts, purchase orders, payment terms, and required documentation, while resolving collection delays and disputes in coordination with relevant departments.

Prepare collection forecasts, cash flow projections, and receivables reports, including Aging Reports and Overdue Analysis.

Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, government procurement requirements, and applicable accounting standards.

Implement effective internal controls, oversee inventory controls and periodic stock counts, and ensure compliance with applicable storage standards.

Supervise product, service, and manufacturing costing, analyze cost variances, and support cost optimization initiatives.

Lead and develop the accounting team, coordinate with other departments, and manage internal and external audit requirements.

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Accounting; CMA or CPA certification is preferred.

7–10 years of accounting experience in trading, import, and manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards.

Experience in budgeting and financial reporting.

Proficiency in accounting software (ERP systems) and MS Excel.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.

Strong understanding of costing in manufacturing or trading environments.
