Main Function of the role:

Reporting to the Head of Business Development,APAC & Australia, you will be responsible for managing all aspectsofdistribution into regional channels. This role has a wide scope, across multiplechannels, driving growth within the wholesale market in Asia & Aus, including,private banking, consumer banking and family office channels. The successfulcandidate will also have knowledge of markets across the region, includingAustralia.

You will be required to work incomplete partnership and collaboration with all elements of our business development,investment and broader support teams to ensure a consistent messaging bothinternally and externally. You will represent the voice of the clientinternally and will ensure our clients’ needs and requirements are at thecentre of our corporate strategy.

Key task andresponsibilities:

  • Support the regional(ex-Japan) business plan in line with APAC regional strategy and targets.
  • Responsible forraising third party assets across private banks, IFAs, platforms and familyoffices.
  • Responsible fordeveloping existing client relationships and building strategy and managing newclient relationships across the regions wealth channels (including Australia).
  • Help drive newproduct solutions that are client centric and core to our Responsibility roots.
  • Identify andmonitor prospective client demands and market opportunities.
  • Work in closecollaboration with the investment teams within the multi-specialist structure.
  • Act as anambassador and represent Federated Hermes professionally to the market.

Minium Experience Required:

  • Minimum seven years’ experience infund distribution or wealth management, working with private banks, IFAsplatforms and/or family offices.
  • Strong prior sales experience and track record of delivering againsttargets.
  • Experience across public and private market assets classes.
  • Established knowledge of, and network within, the Asia and Australianmarkets and client base.
  • A stable career history, demonstrating longer-term tenures rather thanshort term stops
  • Strong academic background, educatedto degree level (or equivalent).
  • Fluency (written and spoken) inEnglish language.

  • Results focused, possessing strong communication and relationship buildingskills.
  • A service-orientated mindset with the enthusiasm, drive and ability todevelop significant sales across a growing range of products.
  • Strong understanding of Asian and Australian investment markets, with theability to apply this knowledge to opportunities across the region
  • Good level of regulatory and technical investment knowledge to be able tomost effectively interact with prospective clients.
  • Understanding of investors, their needs and market trends and how theywould interact in the development of value-added Federated Hermes products.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, coupled with stronginterpersonal skills.
  • Strong team player, with the ability to use initiative, and to influenceand persuade at a high level both internally and externally.
